Who are the favourites to win the Premier League?

With two games of the 2025-26 Premier League season now in the books (at the time of writing), there have been some blistering performances, major upsets and everything in between.

With the above in mind, let’s take a look at the Premier League odds in this season’s title outright markets.

Liverpool

Defending champions Liverpool remain favourites to claim consecutive Premier League titles – with Arne Slot’s side currently priced at 7/4.

The Reds kicked off their campaign with an explosive yet unconvincing 4-2 win over Bournemouth at Anfield in the league’s season opener. Although their key signings, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike showed their class en route to a win, it was their defensive lapses that some fans and pundits believe are a cause for concern.

Nevertheless, with a squad that includes the likes of Wirtz, Ekitike, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Virgil van Dijk, and Alisson, the Merseyside club will prove incredibly difficult to beat each and every week.

Arsenal

The Gunners looked somewhat pedestrian in their season opener against Manchester United at Old Trafford – with Mikel Arteta’s side oftentimes finding themselves on the back foot. Despite their lacklustre showing, Arsenal managed to come away with a gritty 1-0 win in enemy territory.

The north London side can take plenty of confidence away from that particular victory, as racking up wins when you’re not at your best proves crucial in any successful league campaign.

However, Bukayo Saka and co. were back to their clinical best less than a week later, with Arsenal thumping Leeds United 5-0 at the Emirates. In addition to securing the three points, it was a great game for the Gunners as their marquee summer signing, Viktor Gyokeres, found his feet.

He went on to bag a brace, with the Swede scoring a great individual goal in the 48th minute before converting from the spot in the 95th minute. As a result of their dominant performance against Leeds, Arsenal have shortened to joint favourites at 7/4 alongside Liverpool.

Manchester City

In their season opener, the Sky Blues appeared to be back to the form that saw them win four straight Premier League titles, with Pep Guardiola’s side thrashing Wolves 4-0 at Molineux Stadium.

There were very good signs for City, with Erling Haaland netting a brace and their two key signings, Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki, both finding the back of the net. They couldn’t maintain their winning ways against Tottenham, however, with their north London opponents cruising to a 2-0 victory at the Etihad.

In spite of their poor showing at home against Spurs, they are still third-favourites to win their fifth title in six seasons, with City currently garnering odds of 5/1.

We should know more about how legitimate Manchester City are in September, with crucial back-to-back fixtures against an improved Manchester United outfit before a blockbuster clash with recent rivals Arsenal. They will be at home against United and away when they take on the Gunners.
